The Hayner Public Library District has launched its Summer Reading Program, running from June 2 to July 10, 2025, with the theme "Level Up at Your Library." This free program offers various activities for kids, teens, and families, including crafts, storytelling, art demonstrations, science projects, and game nights. Events take place at different library locations, such as Alton Square Mall and downtown libraries. By participating in reading challenges, children can win prizes while combating the "summer slide" in literacy skills. Registration is encouraged but not mandatory, and all events are open to attendees without prior sign-up.
