Apple is enhancing its parental control tools to better protect children and teens online. With the upcoming release of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and other operating systems, parents will have more options to ensure age-appropriate experiences for their kids. New features include simplified Child Account management, the ability for parents to share a child’s age range with apps while safeguarding privacy, and more granular age ratings on the App Store. Additionally, Communication Limits now require parental approval for new contacts, and Communication Safety has been expanded to intervene in FaceTime calls and Shared Albums. These updates build upon existing tools like Ask to Buy, Find My, and Content Restrictions, reinforcing Apple's commitment to safety and privacy. The updates will be available this fall as free software updates.
