While shows like 'The Bachelor' eventually introduced more diverse leads after significant public pressure, the broader reality dating landscape has seen both evolution and persistent issues regarding equitable representation and narrative depth for minority contestants.

The latest season of 'Love Island USA' has notably veered from its predecessors, consciously diversifying its cast.
