For the sixth consecutive year, DG Realty Group and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office are collaborating to collect new and used bikes, helmets, and accessories for children in need. This initiative is part of the Sheriff’s Re-CYCLE for Kids program, taking place on May 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Since its inception in 2006, the program has refurbished and donated thousands of bikes with the help of community donations and volunteer efforts through the Sheriff PAL program. Donations can be made at a collection truck in downtown Birmingham or during the City of Birmingham Department of Public Services Open House. The goal remains to provide bikes to as many children as possible.
