In a significant fashion alliance, Supreme and Y's by Yohji Yamamoto have debuted their joint collection for Fall 2025, which serves as a compelling bridge between urban fashion and avant-garde Japanese design. This partnership goes beyond mere branding, establishing a creative dialogue deeply rooted in the punk aesthetic—a foundational element of Yohji Yamamoto’s artistic vision.
The extensive collection boasts a variety of pieces, including a Leather Jacket, a Faux Fur WINDSTOPPER® Hooded Bomber Jacket, a Denim Work Jacket, a Sweater, an S/S Shirt, a Thermal, a Zip Up Hooded Sweatshirt, Denim Utility Pants, Jeans, three distinct T-Shirts, a 6-Panel cap, a Beanie, a Silver Bracelet, a Silver Wallet Chain, and a Hand Fan. A central theme of the collection is the prominent use of skull motifs, appearing as an all-over print on denim items and as a key feature on the sleek leather jackets. These designs, combined with a co-branded Supreme and Yamamoto logo, effortlessly merge the rebellious identities of both labels.
The punk influence resonates throughout the entire collection. Knitwear pieces feature an ominous “666” graphic, while shirts showcase a formidable Grim Reaper motif. These stylistic choices are a direct homage to Yamamoto’s design philosophy, which has consistently challenged conventional beauty standards and societal norms, mirroring the anti-establishment essence of punk culture. The denim jeans are reimagined with a contemporary cargo silhouette, featuring a barrel shape and multiple pockets. Additional details, such as metal eyelets and a skeletal-inspired necklace and bracelet, further enhance the collection’s gritty and defiant appeal.
Enthusiasts can expect the Supreme x Y's by Yohji Yamamoto collection to become available on the brands’ official webstores and at physical retail locations starting September 11, with a special release for Asia scheduled for September 13.
