Partnering with Tuthill Porsche, a renowned UK workshop, the brand has introduced the LFG at Monterey Car Week, a formidable all-wheel-drive vehicle propelled by a flat-six engine. This creation is a direct homage to the original Meyers Manx's triumph at the Baja 1000 in 1967, signaling a bold step into high-performance off-roading.
Innovative Design and Engineering Prowess
The LFG's distinctive carbon-fiber shell is the masterful work of Freeman Thomas, a designer celebrated for his contributions to the Audi TT and Volkswagen New Beetle. While specific technical details remain somewhat under wraps, Meyers Manx confirms that the LFG will offer a range of engine choices, including Tuthill's advanced four-valve, air-cooled flat-six, akin to those found in the aggressive 911K. Power is efficiently managed through a six-speed sequential gearbox, complemented by front, center, and rear limited-slip differentials for optimal traction. The suspension system features twin adjustable coilovers at each corner, paired with BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, ensuring exceptional capability across diverse landscapes.
